The ARS Akhurian “Mother & Child” Health and Birthing Center (ARS/Eastern USA)
The Akhurian “Mother & Child” Health Center was founded in 1997Ã. It gives free treatment to the inhabitants of the region. Over the last 9 years, the highly qualified staff of the Center has treated over 72,000 patients.
Thanks to the continuous support of the ARS, the Center uses the best medical equipment available; it has pediatric, gynecological, sonography, mammography, and first-aid departments, analysis labs and pharmacy.
Since 2005, the Center has a new Maternity Ward. During the 2005-2006 period, so far, 1,185 babies were delivered at the Ward.
Occasionally, seminars on health issues are organized at the Center, along with special classes on feminine higiene and reproductive system, family planning, and the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS-related illnesses.

Over the years, through optic centers founded by the ARS, the public has received much-needed eye-care. In cooperation with state, private and international institutions, every year, we were able to supply, free of charge, 300-400 eyeglasses to needy individuals.
Psychological Centers (ARS/Western USA)
The Gyumri and Spitak Psychological Centers are giving free service to the local populations since 1991.
